Top 10 Free Things To Do In WDW

Updated: Jan 26, 2019

Ok picture this, you are in Walt Disney World and you want to see what they offer for FREE…if anything? Well you’re in luck there are ‘plenty’ of things to do for free when in Walt Disney World.

1. Let’s say your starting point is Disney Springs…WHAT?! I know you’re thinking our starting point is at the most expensive shopping, dining and entertainment place on Disney property. Well, listen it has free parking so we really had no choice. Ok once here, you can if you have some resistance take a wander around the Springs, take in the atmosphere, sit and listen to some live music outside, watch other people spend their money.

WARNING: Do not enter world of Disney if you want to keep this FREE. It is near impossible to leave empty-handed.

DISCOVER TIP: Ghiradelli chocolate shop offer free chocolate samples, utterly delicious, take a free chocolate sample, pretend to look in the shop, exit the shop, put some sunglasses on, enter shop, take chocolate, pretend to look in the shop, exit the shop, change clothes and put a hat on, enter the shop, take a chocolate, exit the shop. Repeat until you have no disguises left.

2. You can grab a FREE badge from The World of Disney, if you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding anything! Just ask a Cast Member!

3.Up next take a wonderful FREE Friendship boat ride from pleasure island to Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter resort. This resort is set in 1960’s New Orleans, the theming is great!

4. When you’ve finished having a look around the resort, take a Disney transport bus from the Resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You don’t have to enter the park, simply take the boat from Hollywood studios to Disneys Boardwalk.

5. Boardwalk is a stunning resort for a walk, set on bay lake, the views, the scenery (especially in the evening) it is so pretty!

6. From Boardwalk take the bus to EPCOT (You can walk, but you would need a ticket for this). At the EPCOT entrance you can take the monorail to Magic Kingdom and then switch to the resort monorail and ride around the seven seas lagoon.

7. Hop off at the Grand Floridian and listen to live music daily in the lobby, the resort is so peaceful and serene.

8. Want to catch a movie for FREE? Several resorts offer outdoor movies including; Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Contemporary, All Star resorts and many more. I reccomend Fort Wilderness Campground for this activity as it’s super picturesque and well-themed.

9. Hidden Mickeys! Search for Mickey’s everywhere! Team up and see who can find the most Hidden Mickey’s within an allotted time! There is a super cool Hidden Mickey book you can purchase and it can cause you to have hours of fun searching for these hidden gems!

10. Lastly you can take a bus to Art of Animation Resort, this resort is an amazing attraction in itself. Discover Lightening Mcqueen at Radiator Spings, Find Timone and Puma in the Pride Lands of Africa, Wander around the big blue pool and look for Nemo and Friends.

Take the bus back to Disney Springs and collect your car.
